Hiking up to Tamolitch Blue Pool

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted for a while!

Hope you are doing well during these very challenging times that we are experiencing. I wish you peace of mind and the strength to carry on each day. Let us continue to live with much patience and optimism that we shall get through these trying times together, with love and support.... In the meantime, a hike out in the woods or a walk wherever you are sure ways to get some reprieve if even for a little while. I shall share a light, short story today about a hike to a place my 13 year old son, Chase, wanted to visit. Hope it makes you smile...

"Guess who decided to joined me on a hike?! 😁

I visited the Tamolitch Blue Pool last year via a 10 mile hiking route and Chase loved the pool when he saw the photos!

We were talking about it 2 days ago and I asked if he wanted to go see it! He said yes! I jumped at the opportunity of course!😁 ... and just like that we were off on an adventure!

This trail is about 1 hr 15 mins from home...

I took him on a shorter hiking trail route to get there (about 4 miles) and it was one of the most funniest, funnest and exciting time we have had in a long while outdoors! (Chase disagrees that funnest is a word. I know, and still love using it)🤪

Boy, it was refreshing being out there hiking with my boy! 🌲🌿🌲🌿(The Pandemic put a lot restrictions on hiking for the last months...We’re slowly getting out...)

Stunning towering trees covered this adventurous trail! We checked out the green scenes with the McKenzie River running alongside us! (known for its Blue Waters!)

Goofed around a lot! I had a monumental, definitely Olympic worthy face plant when I tripped on a root, maybe lava rock, and we laughed so hard! It took a while for composure! hahaha! I swear even the birds found it impressive and sounded like they were laughing at me too! It was a classic Charlie Chaplin half speed running, half falling to base, and blam, with an added bonus of a heavy backpack! 🤪🤣😂 I’m ok! Nothing broken!😆😂 The most important thing was that the snacks were safe! 👍😁

We took our sandwiches and had a yummy lunch up there!

Chase was very impressed with the pool and was in Awe of the intense blue color...

We hung out for a while exploring, and headed back down just in time as groves of people were headed up! (Crowds and this type of Corona don’t mix well!) (Always a huge benefit to go early in the morning!)

Time to scadoodle outta there quickly, equipped with our masks! 👍

It was so fun adding in another memory on a new trail with my boy...

Got some fantastic photos along the way too!

I have included a couple in my album here.

Hope you enjoyed our little story...🌲🌿

Stay safe and be well!

See you on the next adventure! :)
